1) Who controls your data

2) What we collect

We collect data in three ways: (a) you provide it; (b) it's collected automatically; (c) we receive it from third parties with your permission or lawful basis.

A) Website & docs (buildwithdani.com / docs.buildwithdani.com)

• Device & usage data: IP address (short-lived), browser type, pages viewed, referrer, timestamps.
• Cookies/consent: See our Cookie Notice.
• Contact forms/newsletters: name, email, message content.

B) Flotix (desktop browser)

• Essential telemetry: app version, OS, basic device metadata for updates & security.
• Optional diagnostics (opt-in): crash reports, performance metrics, anonymized events.
• No ad tracking. Flotix is designed with privacy defaults.

C) Arrivio (Shopify app)

• Store data you approve during install: store ID, domain, orders/tickets/returns metadata, and customer contact fields needed to provide helpdesk & returns automation.
• Operational logs: request/response metadata, app configuration.

D) AutoIQ (desktop diagnostics)

• Device & adapter data: OS, app version, OBD-II adapter model.
• Vehicle diagnostics: PIDs, DTCs, live data streams required to display and troubleshoot.
• Local first: where feasible, AutoIQ processes vehicle data on-device and only transmits minimal data needed for features you use (e.g., cloud sync or crash reporting if enabled).

E) Payments & account

If you purchase paid features, our payment processor (e.g., Stripe) collects and processes payment info. We receive limited billing metadata (e.g., last 4 digits, expiration month/year, billing ZIP) but never store full card numbers.

3) Why we use data (legal bases)

• Provide the Services: account creation, authentication, core functionality. (Contract)
• Improve & secure: debug, prevent abuse, measure performance. (Legitimate interests / Consent)
• Communicate: respond to requests, product updates. (Legitimate interests / Consent)
• Comply with law: tax, accounting, lawful requests. (Legal obligation)

4) Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. You can request deletion at any time (see Your Rights).

5) Sharing & subprocessors

We share data with trusted providers who help us operate the Services (hosting, analytics, payments, email, crash reporting). We require appropriate confidentiality and security commitments. See our live list at /subprocessors.

We do not sell personal information.

6) International transfers

Where data leaves your region, we use approved safeguards (e.g., SCCs for EEA/UK). Details available on request.

7) Your rights

Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR, UK GDPR, CPRA), you may have rights to:

• Access, correct, or delete your data
• Port your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)

8) Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or as required by local law). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9) Security

We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk (encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
